Marsforming is Terraforming in reverse, similar to Mercuryforming and Venusforming. A good science fiction example is the invasive Martian plants in H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds that destroy native plant life. When Earth's bacteria wipes out the Martians, the Martian weed succumbs to it as well.
